Manny Stiles' Arizona

An everyday whackjob's tales, verbal depictions and pictures/scribblings of the arid zone known as 'Arizona'

Kitt Peak National Observatory

Kitt Peak is easily accessible and not far from Tucson. It's a whole bunch of freaky looking telescopes on top of a 6000' sacred mountain. It's change of pace for something to do.

Sedona Again!

Well the town survived a fire scare and recently had rock slides on 89A. We went to Cathedral Rock and Red Rock Crossing at Crescent Moon again.

The Rock piles mark where the vortexes are in Sedona. Some piles are elaborate, some are puny. Of course, I added a few while I was there.
It's a short hike off of a dirt path. Last time I was here it was completely different looking. I guess storms have washed away their share of rocks.
